И как же часто именно наши усилия имеют последствия, совершенно обратные ожидаемым! Предлагаем несколько советов о том, как не навредить психике ребенка.
«Хочу отдать сына (дочь) в сильную школу!»
Прежде всего, слово «отдавать» мало подходит к ситуации, когда речь идет о человеке, пусть еще и не очень большом. А сильной школа должна быть в том смысле, чтобы в ней было интересно учиться и развиваться, а не в плане моды и престижа среди других заведений города. Напряженность учебы только тогда идет на пользу, когда она развивает, а не подавляет, не учит беспрекословно подчиняться режиму повышенной строгости. Увы, подавляющее большинство «сильных» школ построены именно на этом. То же самое касается и сильного педагога. Это не тот, уроков которого боятся как огня и зубрят каждый параграф, а тот, который умеет разжечь любопытство и интерес к своему предмету. Неверный выбор учебного заведения — очень дорогая ошибка.
«Что получил?»
Оценка — неизбежная необходимость школьного обучения. Но не его цель. Возведение школьных отметок в абсолют превращает их в сияющий приз, самоцель, ради которой все это и затеяно. И в первую очередь именно родители превращают учебу из увлекательного процесса познания в соревновательную гонку с сомнительными целями. Этот марафон похож на забег по пересеченной местности, где единственная задача — оказаться в точке Б. Можно срезать углы, использовать попутный транспорт, сталкивая с него других участников, и совершенно необязательно смотреть по сторонам, учиться ориентироваться по карте, замечать важные достопримечательности и уж тем более — получать от всего этого процесса удовольствие. Не задавайте ребенку вопрос об оценках после школьного дня – спросите, что любопытного и достойного обсуждения он сегодня узнал.
«А что получил Петя?»
Оценочные сравнения с успехами одноклассников, детей знакомых, родственников, коллег и прочих — отправная точка многих психологических комплексов школьников. Зависть, конкуренция, ненависть — вы хотите развить у своего ребенка все эти качества? Поставленный в пример ученик по умолчанию становится врагом. Часто — на всю жизнь. А если это брат или сестра? Трудно через годы рассмотреть в отношениях близких родственников причину отстраненности, насмешливости или открытой ненависти — а ноги часто растут именно отсюда. На что надеются взрослые, когда ставят ученику в пример других? На здоровую конкуренцию? Примерьте ситуацию на себя в рабочем коллективе, и все станет очевидно.
Понижение статуса педагога
Происходит это обычно в двух случаях. Либо родителям кажется, что учитель относится к их ребенку «не так», либо они начинают видеть в нем конкурента, более авторитетного взрослого. Особенно обостряется ситуация, если этот авторитет с их точки зрения ничем не подкреплен. Делается это неосознанно, но вред отношениям между педагогами и учениками причиняется колоссальный. Нельзя комментировать действия учителя при ребенке, даже если он (педагог) действительно некомпетентен или несправедлив. Все это решается как угодно, но только в отсутствие ученика.

Понижение статуса ребенка
В первую очередь, это недопустимо в присутствии других детей. Во вторую — при учителях. И, наконец, дома наедине — тоже. Как бы ни вел себя ваш сын или дочь, какой бы ни была успеваемость по журналу, взаимное уважение — это первое и главное, что должно присутствовать в отношениях между детьми и взрослыми. Иначе можно забыть и о собственном авторитете, и о надеждах на то, что мы будем услышаны и поняты.

Впрочем, предоставление чрезмерной самостоятельности тоже негативно отражается и на учебе, и на взаимоотношениях.
Телесные наказания
Стоит ли об этом говорить? Они недопустимы ни в каком виде и ни при каких обстоятельствах. Часто приходятся слышать ссылку на предыдущие поколения, когда телесное наказание допускалось даже в школе. Нельзя сравнивать психику современного человека с теми, кто жил 100 и более лет назад. Это очевидно. Никому же не придет в голову сравнивать современного 6-8-летнего ребенка с его сверстником, жившим лет 100 назад, ловко запрягавшим лошадь в телегу и считавшего выпас стада коров чуть ли не выходным днем. Психика современных детей крайне ранима, а побои приводят к необратимым последствиям.
Выяснение отношений с другими учениками
Порыв бежать в школу и разобраться с обидчиком своего чада совершенно понятен. Но основан он не на логике, а на инстинкте — защитить и уберечь. Однако импульсивное разовое действие может оказать медвежью услугу в долгосрочной перспективе. Кроме того, разбираться с чужим ребенком в отсутствие его родителей — деяние противозаконное, таких прав нет даже у милиции. Хотите оказать поддержку или выяснить обстоятельства — разбирайтесь с родителями или опекунами второй стороны конфликта. Кстати, на самом деле ситуация может выглядеть совсем не так, как ее описывает ваш ребенок. Стоит подумать и о том, как отразится ваш выход на дальнейших взаимоотношениях с классом. Нередки случаи, когда это приводит к травле и бойкотам.
